In this series, I explored the James River via Google Earth. The resulting photographs expose often-overlooked polluted riverscapes from arial perspectives. At first glance, they may appear to be abstractions, strikingly attractive, until studied closely. The images evoke emotional responses, from appreciating beauty to feeling dread, which hopefully inspire discussion, introspection, and a desire for change. My photographic narration is about each of us. We all consume products created by industry. These photographs reveal the environmental price collectively paid for our modern lives. Included are 12 of the 36 photograph series.
